Duties and responsibilities: Duties will include interfacing with vendors, ordering supplies, lab organization, performing experiments, and data analysis. Techniques you will learn include human cell culture, RNA sequencing, third generation long-read sequencing technologies, and strong fundamentals in molecular biology utilizing human viruses.
Education requirements: A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a science related field is required. The candidate will work closely with the PI and receive all necessary training to safely and correctly complete research goals.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, or other Qualifications: General molecular biology lab techniques such as nucleic acid preparation, gel-based electrophoresis, and molecular cloning are favorable. The ideal candidate will also have prior experience working with human tissue culture and viral systems.
