
Research Assistant: Remote or Hybrid Position
PART TIME: Up to 6 hours/week through 12/31/26
Project title: Parenting STAIR: Adapting a Trauma-Focused Parenting Intervention for Military Connected Mothers and Their Children
Principal Investigator: Kathrine Sullivan, PhD, MSW, Associate Professor
Duties and Responsibilities
• Administer screenings and assessments with study participants
• Collect, clean, and manage quantitative data using REDCap
• Contribute to the interpretation and written description of statistical results
• Support recruitment efforts, including social media and email outreach
• Participate in regular remote team meetings
• Perform other related duties as assigned
In compliance with the NYC pay transparency law the hourly rate for this role is $30/hr.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
• Advanced degree in social work, public health, psychology, or a related field; or a Bachelor's degree with substantial relevant experience
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection
• Experience in data cleaning, management, and analysis
• Experience with REDCap, or a similar data collection tool
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Flexibility and reliability, including punctuality and consistent availability
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
• Prior research experience and/or genuine interest in applied research
• Familiarity with IRB protocols and human subjects research procedures
• Experience supporting academic writing or manuscript preparation
