We are looking for Master’s Thesis Student for

Research Assistant (master thesis worker) position in Simulation for Optoelectronics Devices

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with strong simulation skills and a background in nanoelectronics and optoelectronic devices. The position is ideal for master’s students who are interested in writing a master's thesis emphasizing simulation, theory, and validation of experimental electrical and optical results in semiconductor devices. The selected candidate will work on the project led by Prof. Zhipei Sun and Dr. Fida Ali, Department of Nanoelectronics and Engineering, Aalto University.

What will you do?

  • Perform simulations in COMSOL Multiphysics to design MOSFET device structures.

  • Model and analyze electrical transport and optoelectronic behavior.

  • Compare and validate simulations against experimental data.

  • Work with an experimental team.

  • A 6-month contract with salary of 2622,00 € / month.

  • Start date: September 2026 or as soon as possible

What we value?
