Job Title
Research Assistant Mass-spectrometry
An excellent opportunity is available for a mass-spectrometry focussed Research Assistant to join the Ubiquitin Signalling Centre / Komander lab at Australia’s pre-eminent biomedical research institute.
About the Position
The role of the Research Assistant is to provide technical and operational support for mass-spectrometry-based research relating to NoPro clipping, as recently published by the Komander lab. Research Assistants enable and facilitate research, contributing skills and expertise to projects within the group and with external collaborators, under the general direction of the Laboratory Head. In this case, a candidate is required to have ample experience in mass-spectrometry, ideally with hands-on experience in mass spectrometry sample processing, data acquisition and data analysis. The Research Assistant will be responsible for receiving and processing samples, running experiments, and analysing and presenting data to internal and external collaborators. The candidate will also be encouraged to improve existing or develop new method workflows, and contribute to general mass spectrometry capabilities of the lab and Centre.
