Job Description

We are looking for a full-time Research Assistant to join the section for Thermal Energy at DTU Construct for the development of a high-pressure ammonia flow rig.

Responsibilities and qualifications

You will be responsible for the development of a high-pressure ammonia flow rig and to conduct test campaigns with ammonia pump components from collaborating partners.

You should have significant experience with:

  • Safe handling of ammonia and other liquified gases in test setups.
  • Design and wiring electronic data acquisition and control systems using PC Schematics.
  • LabView programming.
  • Mechanical design and FEM analysis using Solid Works.
  • Data processing of large experimental sets of dynamic flow and pressure data using statistical methods in MatLab.
  • CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machine) measurement and preferably have experience with Calypso Software.
  • Data processing large complex geometric data sets from CMM measurements for 3-dimensional analysis of tested pump components.

As a formal qualification, you must have a master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.

Salary and terms of employment

The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.

The period of employment is 1 year.
