The Opportunity

JoinHammondCare'sClinical Trials team and play a key role in supporting innovative Alzheimer's Disease and dementia clinical research. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Research Assistant to contribute to meaningful research that aims to improve outcomes and quality of life for people living with dementia.

Working closely with Clinical Trial Coordinators,Investigatorsand research participants, you will provide both administrative and clinical support across a range of dementia-focused clinical trials. The Role

This role is based at our Malvern, VICofficeand reports to the Clinical Trial Unit Manager

The Research Assistant will support the administration and conduct of Alzheimer's Disease clinical trials, ensuring studies are deliveredin accordance withprotocol requirements, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards, and HammondCare policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assistin the administration and conduct of Alzheimer's Disease clinical trials.
  • Organise and schedule study appointments and meetings.
  • Support Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and Research Governance Office (RGO) submissions and approvals.
  • Perform study-specific procedures as directed, including vital signs,ECGsand venepuncture.
  • Assistwith participant recruitment activities.
  • Collect research data through questionnaires, assessments, medicalrecordsand participant interviews.
  • Enter andmaintainstudy data accurately and efficiently.
  • Support clinical trial administration, including filing documentation and responding to study-related queries.
  • Assistwith the management of study materials and supplies.
  • Liaise with study sponsors,monitorsand key stakeholders to ensure trials are conducted according to protocol and HammondCare Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with Clinical Trial Coordinators,Investigatorsand the Clinical Trial Unit Manager.
  • Develop andmaintainproductive relationships with researchers,cliniciansand external organisations to supportHammondCare'sresearch culture.

What Do We NeedFromYou?

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent record-keeping skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational, administrative and computer skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and time management skills.

Desirable

  • Current orpreviousexperience working in clinical trials or a relevant research environment.
  • Experience in dementia or Alzheimer's Disease clinical trials.
  • Experience performing venepuncture,cannulationand ECGs.
  • Current GCP and IATA certification.
