  • HEO 5, $63.90 per hour plus super

About the opportunity

Join the Daffodil Centre, a partnership between Cancer Council NSW and the University of Sydney, dedicated to advancing cancer control and improving cancer outcomes through world-class research. In this Research Assistant role, you will support the Sun Wise study, a community-based research project focused on a novel melanoma prevention strategy. Working as part of a collaborative research team, you will contribute to participant engagement, study coordination and data management to help deliver impactful cancer prevention research.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Support participant recruitment, communication and engagement activities
  • Coordinate study mail-outs and preparation of participant materials
  • Collect, enter and manage research data accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain study records, databases and research documentation
  • Support the day-to-day administration and coordination of study activities
  • Ensure confidential participant information is handled securely and professionally
  • Contribute to maintaining high-quality research processes and data integrity

About You

You are a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with experience supporting research, health, or data-driven projects. You have strong communication skills and are committed to delivering high-quality work in a collaborative environment.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Experience in research support, data collection and/or data management
  • Excellent organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Experience handling sensitive or confidential information with discretion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment
  • Experience with REDCap or similar research databases will be highly regarded.
