Medicine | IM Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Technician to assist with experiments in molecular and cellular biology. The successful candidate will work closely with our research team to perform laboratory procedures following established protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct molecular and cellular biology experiments, including immunoblotting (Western blot) and quantitative PCR (qPCR)
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of experimental procedures and results
  • Assist with general lab maintenance and inventory
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
  • Maintain and manage mouse colonies, including genotyping and basic husbandry

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field preferred (Master’s degree not required)
  • Prior hands-on experience with mouse handling and colony maintenance is required
  • Experience with immunoblotting and qPCR is strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow protocols precisely, and good organizational skills
  • Effective communication and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
