Our research team specializes in research focused on the organization of cancer care, patient-centered interventions and community partnerships that promote quality and proximity of care.
We have recently received Movember funding one new exciting projects. We are now looking for an experienced Research Assistant 2.
of role and responsibilities
The Research Assistant (RA) will support the evaluation of selected Patient‑Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) using the COSMIN (Consensus‑based Standards for the selection of health Measurement Instruments) methodology. The RA will contribute to systematic identification, data extraction, methodological appraisal, and synthesis of evidence related to the measurement properties of PROMs.
COSMIN Methodological Quality Assessment:
Apply the COSMIN Risk of Bias checklist to evaluate the methodological quality of included studies
Assist in rating measurement properties (e.g., sufficient, insufficient, indeterminate) following COSMIN criteria
Participate in reviewer discussions to resolve discrepancies and ensure consistency
Evidence Synthesis and Reporting:
Support qualitative or quantitative synthesis of evidence across measurement properties
Assist in grading the quality of evidence (e.g., modified GRADE approach per COSMIN guidance)
Contribute to summary tables, evidence profiles, and PROM comparison matrices
Documentation and Quality Assurance:
Ensure transparency, traceability, and consistency of COSMIN methods throughout the project
Assist with preparation of protocol sections, methods descriptions, and appendices
Draft publication and report of results.
Requirements:
·MSc in a related field
·Bilingual (English, French)
Relevant experience including:
·Excellent knowledge of psychometrics in measurement
·Behavioral and or psychosocial intervention implementation in clinical contexts
