Remuneration: $124,343 - $137,251 pa HEW 8 plus 17% super

The Opportunity

Monash University has been ranked in the top 5 of the Pharmacy & Pharmacology QS Subject Ranking for more than ten years and as the Research and Project Manager you will be supporting the world class research in the Faculty that underpins this ranking.

You will lead all development and support activities for research funding in the Faculty. You will be an expert in national research funding programs, specifically the ARC, NHMRC & MRFF, but also able to advise on national and international programs like the Heart Foundation, Diabetes Australia, ARPA-H, and Horizons Europe. You will:

  • support researchers to identify suitable opportunities
  • manage Faculty research development and application review processes
  • shepherd applications through research management systems
  • liaise with the Monash Research Office at all stages of the research lifecycle.

As the successful candidate you will also be responsible for coordinating and running Faculty research events including MIPS Seminars, annual research symposia, and researcher training and development workshops. As part of small but high performing Faculty Research Office you will be adaptive and collaborative in your approach.

You will have prior experience with the national research funding programs, either through administration or as an applicant. If you have experience as a researcher in the health, pharmaceutical or biomedical sciences, and are interested in transitioning to research administration and management you are encouraged to apply.
