About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading organization in the consumer products industry, is seeking a Research & Development Assistant to support product testing activities within their laboratory environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, following detailed procedures, and contributing to the development and testing of innovative products.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with measurements and data, and eager to support a collaborative R&D team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product testing in a laboratory setting
• Follow established testing procedures and work instructions
• Take accurate measurements and record test results
• Enter and maintain testing data using computer systems
• Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area
• Assist with additional research and development activities as needed
• Support department goals by completing assigned tasks accurately and on time

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfortable using computers for data entry and documentation
• Basic math skills and ability to work with measurements
• Experience using measuring tools such as:
• Rulers
• Measuring tapes
• Calipers
• Scales
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for the majority of the workday
• Frequent use of hands and measuring equipment
• Ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 20 pounds
• Ability to work safely around common hand tools and testing equipment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Thousand Oaks, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
