The Research and Data Intelligence Manager will build and progressively own Henley & Partners' in-house research and data intelligence capability, strengthening the proprietary datasets, methodologies and processes underpinning our global indexes and publications.

The role combines rigorous quantitative research and methodology development with strong commercial judgement and close collaboration across PR, Marketing, Private Client and Government Advisory.

Responsibilities:

Henley Passport Index & Global Mobility

Millionaire migration research

  • Lead development of a credible, transparent, Henley-owned methodology for millionaire migration inflow and outflow estimates
  • Source and triangulate official, commercial and open-source data and relevant proxies
  • Design, test and validate modelling approaches; document assumptions, limitations and confidence levels

Wider research & index development

  • Strengthen the data and methodologies underpinning Henley's wider portfolio of proprietary indexes
  • Identify new datasets and build scalable research workflows, dashboards and analytical tools
  • Maintain data provenance, audit trails, version control and quality standards, retaining institutional knowledge and IP in-house

Insight & commercial interpretation

  • Work with PR and Marketing to identify the strongest stories and commercial insights emerging from the data
  • Translate quantitative findings into clear, defensible insight for media, clients, intermediaries and governments
  • Support Government Advisory, Private Client and business development with research and benchmarking

  • Strong quantitative and investigative research skills; able to answer questions where no single dataset exists by triangulating multiple sources
  • Experience sourcing, integrating and validating data; index, ranking, benchmarking or methodology-development experience highly advantageous
  • Comfortable with advanced Excel, data cleaning, statistical analysis, web scraping, APIs, Python and/or R, SQL and AI-assisted research tools
  • Strong understanding of data provenance, proxies, validation and methodological limitations
  • Able to communicate complex findings clearly and identify what is meaningful, newsworthy and commercially relevant
  • Interest in global wealth, migration, economics, geopolitics or public policy beneficial
