Position Summary

Work Position Description:
To provide office support and
assistance for the community-based archiving and oral history project in
collaboration with the Tomé Land Grant. Professionalism and reliability is
required for positively interacting with and responding to community partners, faculty,
and staff. Knowledge of cataloguing, handling and documenting archival
materials is required. Strong organizational skills are necessary to ensure
thorough preparation of the archival collections. A high degree of
confidentiality is required due to the handling of sensitive documents
entrusted to the student employee by the community partner.

Ability to
communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Experience with basic office equipment.
Skills in handling archival materials, records maintenance, word processing and
data entry.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of archival materials.
Ability to follow set standards for interpreting and preserving archival
materials.
Desire and ability to work independently.
Completion
of ENG 2120 and SPAN 2220 courses
Fluency in
Spanish preferred
