About the role:

Our client, an international law firm is looking for a skilled Research Analyst to join their Market & Business Development team. Reporting to the Associate Director, you will be responsible for delivering in-depth research and competitive intelligence that supports business development, enhances client retention, and identifies new market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on companies, industries, competitors, and market trends
• Synthesize data from various sources (e.g., PitchBook, CapIQ, CRM) into clear, concise reports and presentations
• Monitor political, economic, and legal industry trends to identify new business opportunities
• Support practice groups with competitive intelligence and client profiling to aid in client development efforts
• Provide general research and reference services to support strategic initiatives

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 2+ years in a research or analytical role; professional services or law firm experience preferred
• Strong proficiency in research tools such as PitchBook and CapIQ, along with solid Microsoft Office skills, is essential
• Strong analytical and data storytelling skills; Power BI experience a plus
• Proficiency in English is essential, while Mandarin language skills would be a significant advantage
