We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Research Administrator to join our Shareholder Identification team. This role is responsible for processing disclosure responses from custodian banks and intermediaries, converting data into standardized formats, and mapping unknown accounts to the correct beneficial owners and investment managers. On a day to day basis you will be working with large sets of data typically standardised into excel format.

If you are currently working in shareholder data analysis or a similar field (preferably shareholder ID or share register analysis) and have demonstrable experience in data processing, data mapping and foundational knowledge of the custodial universe we would love to hear from you!

A role you will love

The Research Administrator works within a team of Shareholder Identification specialists, reporting to the team lead. The role involves supporting the team by processing, mapping, and analysing data.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the team and wider business unit in processing disclosure responses received from third parties primarily using Excel and internal tools.
  • Perform data mapping and data matching activities using both third party data vendors and online tools, ensuring consistency and alignment between different systems and datasets.
  • Apply logical reasoning and investigative techniques to resolve complex ownership chains
  • Maintain our internal database ensuring all entries are unique and accurate
  • Research online fund literature through a variety of sources to validate shareholding data.

What will you bring to the role?

Bring your analytical mindset, investigative skills, and ability to operate effectively in a global environment. In this role, you will contribute to creating the Shareholder ID Reports that our clients receive.

Other key skills you will bring to the role:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience analysing shareholder registers, including disclosure responses from global custodians and financial institutions
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of shareholder types and fund/manager structures
  • Awareness of the complexity of the institutional investment landscape, including SRD II and global market practices is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of equity markets; experience in investor relations is advantageous
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach and strong drive to achieve results
  • Additional European language skills would be a distinct advantage
