Job Description

As a Resale Supplier Quality Senior Professional (Contractor), you will act as a highly experienced, self-starting quality leader responsible for driving both proactive and reactive supplier quality excellence across the EMEA resale supplier base.

This role requires operating with a high degree of independence to deliver rapid impact. You will lead efforts to embed preventative quality practices early in the solution lifecycle, while also maintaining strong capability in reactive problem-solving and supplier performance management.

You will work cross-functionally with Solutions Development, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Project Execution teams to ensure supplier quality requirements are clearly defined, built into designs, and effectively executed. At the same time, you will lead robust root cause analysis and corrective action activities to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.

Your objective is to drive a step change in supplier quality maturity, balancing upfront risk prevention with disciplined issue resolution, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality solutions to our customers.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be 49.125 - 72.050 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.”

Tasks and Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation of preventative quality strategies, ensuring quality is embedded early in the supplier and solution lifecycle
  • Lead risk identification and mitigation activities using supplier performance data, project pipeline insights, and engineering inputs
  • Deploy structured quality planning approaches (e.g., APQP, risk assessments) aligned to supplier and project complexity
  • Define and standardise supplier quality expectations, deliverables, and validation requirements

Engineering & Solutions Development Integration

  • Partner closely with Solutions Development and Engineering teams to ensure supplier quality requirements are incorporated at the design and specification stage
  • Review and influence technical specifications, drawings, and documentation to ensure clear and measurable quality expectations
  • Ensure appropriate quality control plans, inspection criteria, and acceptance standards are established prior to execution
  • Support design reviews to ensure quality risks are identified and mitigated early

Supplier Quality Management & Improvement

  • Proactively monitor supplier performance using data analysis and insights to prioritise interventions and audits
  • Support supplier onboarding and qualification activities, ensuring readiness and compliance with quality expectations
  • Plan and conduct supplier audits, FATs, and SATs based on risk, performance, and strategic priorities
  • Work with Supply Chain and Supplier Performance teams to drive continuous improvement and supplier maturity

Reactive Quality & Issue Resolution

  • Lead and facilitate robust root cause analysis (RCA) for supplier-related issues, including complex and high-risk problems
  • Drive implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), ensuring effectiveness and sustainability
  • Provide hands-on support to project teams, engineering, and installation teams to resolve quality issues efficiently
  • Capture and share lessons learned, feeding back into preventative processes to avoid recurrence

Leadership Expectations

  • Develop strategy for Resale supplier quality alongside other Supplier Quality functions and procurement
  • Act as a trusted advisor and influencer, driving alignment across multiple functions and stakeholders
  • Challenge existing processes and introduce best-in-class quality practices
  • Mentor and support less experienced colleagues where appropriate, building overall capability within the organization

Requirements:

  • Strong expertise in both proactive quality planning and reactive problem-solving methodologies
  • Proven ability to influence engineering and design decisions to embed quality upstream
  • Advanced knowledge of quality tools including: RCA (8D, A3), DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans & Inspection Plans, PPAP, FAT/SAT, Audits
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making (e.g., Pareto analysis)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-impact environment

Experience Desired

  • Significant experience in supplier quality management within complex, project-based environments
  • Proven track record of delivering both: Preventative quality improvements (early risk mitigation, design integration) AND Reactive issue resolution (RCA, CAPA, escalations)
  • Experience working closely with engineering / product development teams to embed quality requirements early
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a highly autonomous or contractor role, delivering rapid and sustainable impact
  • Experience managing quality across multiple suppliers and large-scale projects
  • Ability to travel to customer sites up to 50% of the time as necessary.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt / Black Belt) preferred
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar preferred
  • Project management experience beneficial
