Job Description

Req ID:517042

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time Requirements Manager (f/m/d) in Hamburg or Berlin we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and solution-oriented teammates.

You’ll play a key role in driving the consistency and quality of requirements across complex railway projects. You work closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, project management, and quality to ensure traceability, alignment, and successful delivery throughout the project lifecycle.

We’ll look for you to:

• Define and drive the requirements management strategy across all project phases
• Ensure consistency, quality, and traceability of requirements from customer specifications to delivery
• Coordinate stakeholders in drafting, aligning, and validating requirements
• Manage requirement changes and assess their impact on scope, timelines, and costs
• Ensure data quality and integrate external inputs across systems and teams
• Monitor progress, risks, and deviations, supporting informed project decision-making
• Contribute to continuous improvement of requirements management tools, processes, and best practices

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

• Hold a degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
• Bring experience in engineering projects across different project phases
• Demonstrate knowledge of requirements management methodologies and tools
• Communicate effectively and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
• Structure priorities, manage complexity, and navigate competing objectives
• Take ownership, make decisions, and contribute to continuous improvement
• Speak fluent German and English

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey — the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

• Experience a dynamic and meaningful work environment with a permanent role at a global leader in rail transportation
• Contribute to innovative and impactful projects shaping the future of sustainable transport
• Work with international, cross-functional teams and supportive colleagues
• Take ownership of your career and explore development opportunities across functions, projects, and countries
• Benefit from our strong investment in your growth through award-winning learning at Alstom University
• Work in modern offices in Hamburg or Berlin with excellent public transport connections
• Optimise your work-life balance with flexible working hours and hybrid working models
• Receive a competitive remuneration package including 30 days of vacation, company pension, and subsidised “Deutschlandticket”
• Thrive in an inclusive workplace with mentoring programmes, diversity & inclusion initiatives, and engaging employee activities

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!

Important to note

As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
