The Healthcare Sales Specialist serves as a strategic business partner to a dedicated territory of senior living, healthcare and community accounts, driving sustainable growth through consultative selling and operational expertise. You are responsible for the total profitability and health of your territory, utilizing internal resources to exceed customer expectations in service, quality, and partnership.

Essential Functions & Strategic Focus:
Execute S.M.A.R.T Goals: Create day to day actions, activities and follow up to achieve goals
Strategic Business Partnership: Act as a primary consultant to healthcare, senior living and community accounts; focusing on Sales Building, Profitability, and Relationships In addition to selling cases, you provide comprehensive menu solutions and marketplace trend insights to help customers achieve their goals.
Territory & Profitability Management: Own the financial performance of your territory by tracking AOP, evaluating sales volume reports, and actioning margin improvement strategies.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the central link between the customer and internal departments—including Nutrition Resource Centre team, Innovation team, Transportation, and Credit. Serve as the central link between the customer and external influences - including Brokers, Vendors.
GPO Strategy and Relationships: Maintain regular connection and engagement with the GPO representatives in your territory.
Growth & Development: Constantly hunt for new business opportunities while deepening relationships with existing accounts.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
This position requires customer focus with comprehensive communication skills and the ability to express self written and verbal..
Must be a strategic thinker, inquisitive, innovative, and creative in order to build relationships, network, link resources and apply business practices.
Works effectively in teams and independently while displaying integrity and honesty
Must be able to meet and exceed sales performance goals( S.M.A.R.T) and execute high level time and territory management.
Ability to adapt to frequent changes in program function or new applications
Education and Experience:
At least 4 years previous experience in sales, business, healthcare or food operations preferred.
High School Diploma
Post secondary Education : Sales, Business, Management, Dietary or Healthcare preferred.
Valid Class 5 drivers license and reliable vehicle
The successful candidate must live in Edmonton or direct surrounding area
