A Glimpse into Your New Role

We are seeking a skilled Report Developer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in transforming data into actionable insights through the creation of clear and informative reports. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise in data analysis and reporting tools, coupled with a strong business acumen to understand and address stakeholder needs.

  • Report Development: Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using appropriate reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel) to visualize data insights effectively.

    Data Analysis: Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies within datasets. Interpret findings to provide meaningful insights and recommendations.

    Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements. Understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications for report development.

    Data Integration: Work closely with data engineers and IT teams to ensure seamless data integration from various sources into reporting tools e.g. Jaspersoft. Maintain data integrity and accuracy throughout the reporting process.

    Automation: Develop automated reporting solutions to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency. Implement scheduling and distribution mechanisms for timely delivery of reports.

    Performance Monitoring: Monitor report performance and proactively address any issues. Optimize queries and data models to enhance report loading times and responsiveness.

    Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for reports, data sources, and methodologies used in analysis and development. Ensure documentation is up to date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

    Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on report usage and interpretation. Troubleshoot and resolve any user issues related to reports or data access.

    Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and advancements in reporting and analytics. Recommend and implement best practices to enhance reporting capabilities and efficiency.

    What You’ll Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or Mathematics field (Preferred).

    • Proven experience of 2-3 years as a Report Developer or similar role.

    • Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Grafana or similar.

    • Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Proficiency in Jaspersoft Studio for report development and customization.

    • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.

    • Experience with data visualization best practices.

    • Proficiency in database management and ETL process

    • Excellent Excel skills with knowledge on VBA and macros to automate reports

    • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.

    • Good writing skills, you’ll be creating instructions and documentations on reports.

    Working Conditions:
