Reporting Team Lead - Zurich Farmers New World Life (FNWL) LI-Hybrid

We are looking for a driven individual who will play a key role as a team lead in a collaborative team in Bratislava providing IFRS 17 valuations for Zurich – Farmer New World Life (US). This is an excellent opportunity if you are looking to professionally grow in an international environment. Main responsibilities within this role are supporting team in regular actuarial reporting and analysis under the IFRS 17 standard, communicating the results with responsible Chief actuary in US and promoting our services to the client.

Your role


As Reporting Team Lead, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Motivate, drive, coach and develop people in your team
  • Support team members to deliver timely and accurate analyses under IFRS 17 and other metrics
  • Preparing and explaining the analysis results to the FNWL Chief Life Actuary
  • Provide suggestions and challenge the team in identifying, developing and implementing efficiency improvements and maintenance for related IFRS17 reporting and planning processes and systems
  • Communication and collaboration with our client, promotion of our services
  • Coordinate and deliver training and education on capital management topics

Your Skills and Experience


As the Reporting Team Lead, your skills and experience will ideally include:

  • University degree in Mathematics / Statistics / Finance, Actuarial field or similar
  • 7+ years of experience in actuarial valuation
  • Local actuarial qualification and/or UK actuarial qualification is an advantage
  • Experience with IFRS 17 reporting and results communication, any other market consistent valuations are an advantage
  • Fluent English skills (B2) are a must, written and spoken
  • Good analytical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, programming in VBA, or Python is an advantage
  • Experience with working towards deadlines and within a strong control environment
  • Eager to learn and develop
  • People management experience is an advantage
  • Declaring people management prerequisites like: ability to engage people, fostering cooperative and supportive environment, maintaining effective communication in a team, acting with integrity, adaptability and flexibility

We offer

In accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive, the minimum gross monthly compensation for this position, determined based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, is 3 500 EUR/gross. The final compensation package will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

  • Hybrid work: We would be happy to meet you in the office/ coworking space 3 times a week with the added flexibility of working from home on a weekly basis.
