As a Reporting Specialist you prepare and maintain standard and tailored reporting for Athora Netherlands. You ensure completeness and data quality, make analysis of key movements, and help evolve templates and disclosures in line with internal policies and external guidance. You'll be part of the Reporting department at Athora Netherlands, the team consists of 16 professionals. The team is responsible for delivering integrated IFRS, regulatory and investment reports to internal and external stakeholders, including the board, our shareholder (Athora Group), and De Nederlandsche Bank. You work independently on assigned topics while collaborating closely with your colleagues.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver end-to-end reporting streams (IFRS/Dutch GAAP, Group, Sustainability, Solvency II and other regulatory) in line with timelines and quality standards.
Support with investment data collection across Finance, Risk, Investment Office and IT; ensure data quality, governance, security and audit trail.
Perform reconciliations and (non-)standard analyses; translate outcomes into clear narratives and recommendations.
Own and improve reporting templates, disclosures, process documentation and internal controls.
Maintaining contact with stakeholders (incl. auditors, regulator and parent company) at operational level.
Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, controls, tooling, data warehousing and automation.
Analyse key movements and drivers (investments and/or liabilities) and deliver concise commentary and insights for stakeholders.
Stay up to date with relevant reporting developments and proactively share knowledge within the team.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Audit, Economics or Finance.
Typically 1-5 years of relevant experience in (Financial) Reporting, Accounting or Audit (Big 4 and/or financial services experience is a plus).
Located in the Netherlands.
Strong IFRS reporting knowledge; Solvency II reporting knowledge and insurance-sector experience are strong advantages.
Experience or affinity with AI and/or data analytics, including structuring, validating and analyzing large datasets (e.g. Excel, Power BI and/or SQL); experience in improving data quality is a plus.
Basic accounting knowledge (bookkeeping / journal entries) is a plus, especially in an investment context.

Salary per month: based on CLA scale 14 or 15 HAY, the range is € 3.820,83 to € 5.780,73 based on 36 hours.
