Oversee the process of preparing and filing, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the Company’s Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) reports (Form 10-Q, Form 10-K and Form 8-K for financial items), earnings release, corporate federal and state tax returns, and the OCC and Federal Reserve financial reports. Oversee the preparation and review of reports for the Bank and Company boards, ALCO, and other management reports and assisting in the analysis of changes in financial positions. Oversee and assist in researching, interpreting, and applying/implementing new accounting and reporting guidance, new financial reporting regulatory guidance, and new corporate federal and state tax regulations. Oversee the process of preparing the Company’s quarterly income tax provision and allowance for credit losses model.
Five to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
A college degree and a professional certificate (CPA) or a post graduate degree (MBA) is required.
Knowledge of, and ability to interpret, accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America, SEC reporting requirements/regulations, and OCC and Federal Reserve financial reporting requirements/regulations. Knowledge of computer programs and applications used by the accounting and reporting departments. Experience in corporate federal and state income tax return preparation and filing. Experience in corporate income tax provision preparation. Experience in the operations of a financial institution.
The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position.
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
Regular in-office attendance required.

Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters. Must be able to complete complex mathematical calculations and spell accurately.
