Job Description

Lynden Door in Lynden, WA has an immediate opening for a Reporting Analyst. At Lynden Door we strive to be a relational company that provides world class industry leading quality, value, service, and innovation.

The Reporting Analyst supports business leaders and core team members by maintaining costing, price guides and other sales tools, and by providing timely and accurate reporting and analysis of business operations. The Reporting Analyst will have the opportunity to build momentum in our ongoing transformation of data and enhancing our platforms and business processes.

Do you love turning raw numbers into decisions that actually move a business? We're looking for a Reporting Analyst to be a go-to person for pricing, costing, and performance data across our organization. If you are someone who is confident writing SQL queries and leveraging PowerBI, finds real satisfaction in clean data, performs reasoned analysis, and appreciates high-functioning excel-based business tools, read on!

Hours: Full-time, in-office, 8:00- 5:00 Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform margin and pricing analysis to support key business initiatives.
  • Own and maintain Costing Books alongside Estimating, Sales, and Purchasing.
  • Manage Residential price books — including deep-dive margin and price gap reviews.
  • Manage Commercial/Architectural Price Guides and multipliers.
  • Leverage Power BI to create and maintain production reporting.
  • Work with a broad range of stakeholders to understand and document their data needs.
  • Establish and maintain connections between data sources and solutions.
  • Employ reporting and data modeling best practices.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the company to understand and document their data needs.
  • Work with Production to build consistent costing methodologies for material, labor, and freight.
  • Surface margin performance trends tied to mix shifts and volume commitments.
  • Build ad-hoc reports and dig into data issues — researching root causes, correcting master data, and documenting solutions.
  • Maintain department KPIs and help evolve how the whole team experiences reporting.

What You Bring:

  • Knowledge and experience writing SQL and leveraing PowerBI.
  • Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail.
  • A problem-solving, analytical mindset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive data.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust across teams and cultures.
  • A collaborative, service-minded approach to work.

What Makes This Role Rewarding for a Data-Minded Person:

  • You'll own the numbers that matter. From margin analysis to KPI tracking, your work shapes pricing strategy and business decisions — not just reporting after the fact.
  • Variety. Solving pricing puzzles, investigating data discrepancies, and translating findings into action across multiple business functions.
  • Excel is your playground. This role rewards advanced Excel skills — building, modeling, and collaborating at a level that goes well beyond most user's knowledge and ability.
  • Ad-hoc analysis means chasing down root causes, cleaning up master data, and documenting solutions that stick.
  • Cross-functional work. Partner with Estimating, Sales, Purchasing, and Production, giving you visibility into how data connects every part of the business.
  • You'll help shape how the company's platforms and reporting processes grow and improve — not just maintain the status quo.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Wage $25 - 29/Hr DOE
  • Medical/Dental/Vision insurance and Health Savings Accounts (HSA's) with employer contributions $500 - $1,500 annually
  • 401(K) options including profit-share eligibility after 1 calendar year of employment.
  • 8 Paid Holidays
  • 2-3 Weeks Paid Time Off
  • Paid Bereavement Leave
