The Role

The reporter is responsible for reporting on the fashion and luxury industry across topics including retail, marketing, consumer trends and brand strategy. The role involves a mix of reactive news coverage, long-form features and data-led projects, along with regular engagement with industry contacts.

What will you be doing?

  • Cover breaking news across fashion and luxury business

  • Write quick-turnaround, reactive stories on fashion and luxury business news

  • Produce regular features across retail, luxury, marketing, and broader fashion industry topics

  • Conduct brand profiles and interviews with founders and senior executives.

  • Support on data-led projects, including surveys and proprietary reports

  • Cover brand financial performance and earnings reports.

  • Manage and maintain the Vogue Business Funding Tracker for executive members.

  • Build and maintain relationships with PRs, brand teams and industry sources.

  • Represent Vogue Business externally and cover industry events and fashion weeks

  • Contribute story ideas and editorial input in team meetings, working with editors to shape coverage and special editorial projects/packages.

About you:

  • Minimum 3-4 years experience writing for a newspaper or magazine, ideally with a focus on fashion and luxury business

  • Experience working in a fast-paced news environment, with the ability to write quickly and accurately under time pressure

  • A creative thinker who can demonstrate fresh ideas across fashion, retail and marketing

  • Experience in primary research, data interpretation and financial reporting (preferred)

  • Experience interviewing founders and executives (preferred)
