Job Description

Position Overview:

The Warehouse Supervisor works in close collaboration with the Operations Manager and Replenishment team to promote safety, productivity, and operational excellence across designated areas, ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of thousands of daily orders. This position is responsible for fostering and maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with company policies and procedures. Experience in replenishment, picking, packing, and shipping via voice-pick (Numina) or similar technology is highly preferred. The Supervisor must also obtain and maintain certification to operate all material handling equipment required by the facility. This position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide employees with clear direction and guidance to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Support and execute the direction provided by the Operations Managers and/or Facility Director.
  • Perform assigned responsibilities effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Contribute to achieving company safety, productivity, and performance objectives by supporting team operations.
  • Collaborate with fellow supervisors, leads, and management to identify opportunities for continuous operational improvement.
  • Train and onboard new employees on daily operational processes while monitoring performance to ensure high standards of productivity, safety, quality, and service.
  • Identify and promptly report potential safety concerns or equipment repair needs to the Operations Manager for appropriate action.
  • Report defective materials, equipment issues, or questionable conditions to the Operations Manager.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Partner with cross-functional departments to address operational challenges and drive effective solutions.
  • Availability for overtime is required based on business needs. During PowerStop’s peak season from spring through fall, weekday shifts are frequently extended by up to two hours, and Saturdays are regularly scheduled overtime days.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution, or related operational environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • This role requires the Warehouse Supervisor to spend the majority of the workday on the warehouse floor actively supporting team members and operations.
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with voice-directed picking systems, such as Numina or similar technology, is considered an asset.
  • Forklift certification is preferred but not required.

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, adapting communication style to suit different audiences and situations.
  • Approach conflict resolution collaboratively by identifying common ground, actively listening, and resolving disputes fairly and professionally.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the systems and tools used in daily warehouse and facility operations.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, stoop, climb, reach, crouch, and kneel for extended periods of 8+ hours.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift, lower, push, pull, maneuver, and handle equipment and/or packages weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
