We are currently recruiting for a Repairs Administrator to join our team in Canterbury.

To provide efficient administrative support for the delivery of responsive repairs and maintenance services within a social housing environment. The role ensures that repair requests are logged, scheduled, tracked, and completed in line with service standards and tenant expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage supervisors’ diaries and scheduling
  • Improve data quality and usage of repairs systems
  • Provide structured oversight of WIP, completed works, and overdue jobs
  • Coordinate post-inspections and follow-up actions
  • Track sickness and support resource planning
  • Act as the first point of contact for tenants reporting repairs via phone, email, or online systems
  • Log repair requests accurately on the housing management/repairs system
  • Diagnose repair issues (where possible) and allocate appropriate trades or contractors
  • Schedule appointments in line with priority categories and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Monitor outstanding repairs and follow up to ensure timely completion
  • Liaise with contractors, operatives, and internal teams to coordinate works
  • Update tenants on the progress of their repair requests
  • Raise works orders and ensure correct coding, costing, and authorisation
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all repair activities
  • Handle complaints and escalate issues where necessary
  • Support the team with general administrative duties, including reporting and data entry

You Will Need:

  • Knowledge of repairs/construction
  • Experience in an administrative role (housing or repairs environment desirable)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good IT skills, including experience with databases and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing demands
  • Knowledge of social housing repairs processes (desirable)
