Job Title: Repair Technician Trainee

Hydromax USA has available opportunities as a Repair Shop Technician Trainee. The Repair Shop Technician Trainee is a full time, entry level position. A typical day as a Repair Shop Technician Trainee consists of diagnosing broken robotic inspection equipment or cables, repairing equipment, and testing repaired equipment before it goes back into the field. Occasionally, travel to various locations to deliver replacement components to the field. Highly valued traits at Hydromax USA include the ability to work independently, complete tasks efficiently and quickly, and possess good communication skills.

Duties: The employee will learn or assist with the following duties:

All repair shop team members must be able to perform or learn the following:

  • Soldering wires and pin bodies
  • Re-terming all the various cables used by the field crews
  • Proficiently function and leak testing the various equipment
  • Show an understanding of basic electrical theory and using a Multimeter to troubleshoot problems
  • Have a safety first mindset, use and maintain shop PPE, and use a fume extractor
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Learn to perform at least the basic repairs on all the equipment
  • Learn to troubleshoot issues down to the faulty component

QualificationsResponsibilities & Qualifications

  • Candidates with mechanical, automotive, or electronic circuitry experience preferred
  • Ability to complete work in an efficient manner, possibly multi-tasking
  • Adhere to all safety and quality policies
  • Able to work an overtime schedule
  • Computer knowledgeable and able to quickly learn new software
  • Able to work individually or as a team
  • Display an eagerness to learn and take on more challenging repairs over time
  • Possess good work ethic, takes initiative on tasks, willing to work in a structured work environment and follow all company and client procedures and policies
  • Valid Driver's License with safe driving record
  • Able to pass drug screening and motor vehicle background check

A pre-employment drug screen (including Marijuana) and third party background check are required as a condition of employment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Employee must be able to maintain a steady hand for high precision work on small components. Must have the visual acuity to handle power and hand tools safely.
