What we need

We are seeking a Repair Technician who will be part of our Service Center of Excellence organization. This person should be someone who thrives in fast-paced,solutions-oriented, and creative environmentsThe primary responsibility of the Repair Technician II is to, under limited supervision execute all functions of repair ofSymbot’sand subassemblies as outlined by the released OMS (Operations Method Sheets) and provide feedback to management any discrepancies in material or process that affect the quality of the robotic vehicle or the efficiency of the repair process.

The Repair Operations team is part of the Service Center ofExcellencewhichis responsible forservice, repair, testing, evaluation, and field supportThey manage repairs ofmobile robots and electromechanical subassemblies in theSymboticWilmington locationThey primarily focus on supporting repair and related sparepartsmaterial needs to support customer service requirementsThe Repair Operations team collaborates closely with other departments to support repair needs and to continuously improvequalityand reliability of the products.

Whatyou’lldo

  • Prepares work to beaccomplishedby studying assembly instructions (such as Operation Method Sheets and Sequence of Events), assembly drawings, and partslists,gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.

  • Positionsparts and subassemblies by using templates, fixtures, or reading measurements.

  • Assembles components by examining connections for correctfit,fastening parts and subassemblies.

  • The ability to troubleshoot damage or defects in the Bot or subassembly todeterminewhat is needed for the repair.

  • Maintainssafeand clean working environment bycomplying withprocedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed toaccomplishjob results.

  • Documents actionsby completing repairlog,traveler, and quality forms.

  • TestSymboticelectromechanical subassemblies for functionality and/or quality

  • Work well in small groups

  • Perform troubleshooting of the robotic vehicle fleet,identifyinganomalies and stoppages using schematic and wiring diagrams.

  • Assistengineers inactivities for Bot improvements.

Whatyou’llneed

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Minimum of2-4years ofpreviousexperience in the Machine Shop or Manufacturing Assembly Environment.

  • Proficient with different schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Computer knowledge using Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Word & Excel

  • Initiative-takingand highly organized

  • Able to lift 60 pounds and can stand forextendedperiods of time.

  • Possess an understanding ofdiverse typesof mechanical and/or electrical test equipment.

  • Possess the ability to train contractors in all aspects of the requiredrole.

  • Ability tomanagemultipletasks.

  • Demonstrates initiative and isself-motivated.

  • Hands-on skill set required; ready to learn, absorb, andutilizeinformation in ademanding environment

Our Environment

  • There will be steep stairs to climb into the structure. You maybe requiredto routinely walk up and down stairs to navigate the automation structure.

  • You will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground. 

  • Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit. 

  • Attimes you may be at a construction site with PPErequired(hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, fall protection (e.g., safety harness).

  • Frequent ability tosafely and efficiently lift items weighingup to 50lbs and move items weighing up to 80lbs.

  • Stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours and isfrequentlyrequiredto walk and reach with hands and arms. 

  • The employeeis routinely required towork at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. Where you may need to be able to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Must be capable of occasional and/or continuous feeling, seeing, hearing, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, balancing, gripping, climbing, crawling, sitting, handling objects, and repetitive movement using both hands and feet. Mustcomply withall safety requirements and protocols, including without limitation Lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safetyprotocols.

The base range for this position in the posted location is $22.60 - $31.21 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.
