Job Title: Repair Technician

Location: Altron Meadowview Warehouse

Job Purpose

The Repair Technician is responsible for performing technical repairs, troubleshooting, and component-level repairs on IT and electronic equipment. The role requires diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs to quality standards, and ensuring customer requirements are met efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform component-level repairs on IT and electronic equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and electronic faults.
• Conduct basic testing and fault-finding activities.
• Read and interpret circuit diagrams and technical documentation.
• Carry out soldering and rework activities as required.
• Ensure repairs are completed within agreed turnaround times and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate repair records and documentation.
• Use computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for reporting and communication.
• Adhere to all company quality, health, safety, and operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the repair environment.
• Deliver high levels of customer service and support.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• National Diploma.
• National Technical Certificate.
• N or S courses preferred.

Experience

• 0 to 3 years' experience in technical repairs within an IT environment.
• Experience with component-level repairs.
• Basic troubleshooting experience.

Knowledge

• Computer operation, including:
• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Outlook
• Understanding of electronic and electromechanical systems.
• Basic diagnostic and fault-finding principles.
