Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Iron Mountain is a global leader in storage and information management services. Our Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) division sits at the heart of the circular economy. We provide high-security data sanitization, decommissioning, and remarketing of ICT equipment. When businesses upgrade their technology, we ensure their old data is destroyed and their hardware is handled with total security and environmental responsibility.

What You’ll Do

In this role you will:

• Diagnose & Repair: Isolate and troubleshoot hardware issues across a variety of enterprise and consumer devices (laptops, desktops, servers), replacing defective components such as motherboards, power supplies, and drives.
• Assemble & Upgrade: Efficiently disassemble and reassemble hardware to perform system upgrades (RAM, storage, and processor replacements).
• Data Security & Processing: Assist with secure data sanitization processes in line with strict compliance standards.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of hardware testing outcomes, repairs, and services performed in our inventory system.
• Team Collaboration: Provide technical support and insight to team members and internal stakeholders to maintain smooth workflow volumes.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in computer hardware troubleshooting, assembly, and repair (workshop or warehouse environment preferred).
• Strong understanding of PC/laptop components, operating systems, and BIOS/firmware configuration.
• Familiarity with diagnostic software and system testing tools.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to data security protocol.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Physical capability to safely lift and move IT equipment (up to 15-20kg) as required.
