The Opportunity – Repair Technician

We’re expanding and need motivated, hands-on repairers in our warehouse to help us keep delivering high-quality service. As a Repair Technician, your role is vital – you’ll restore devices, solve technical issues, and help customers get back to what they love.

You’ll be part of a supportive team that takes pride in precision, speed, and great service. Every device you fix makes a real difference.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing electronic and mechanical devices – fast, safe, and to the highest standard
  • Troubleshooting faults and performing in-depth inspections
  • Working independently to manage repair queues while keeping quality front of mind
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised workbench
  • Being a team player – supporting your team and growing your skills

What You’ll Bring

  • Hands-on experience in device repairs (robotic or consumer electronics highly desirable)
  • Tech-savvy troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 25kg
  • Self-motivation and great time management

Qualifications / Skills Required

  • Proven experience with electronic or mechanical device repairs; experience with robot vacuum cleaners is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a focus on precision and efficiency.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25KG
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities to manage repair schedules effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

The Process – Simple and Fair

  1. A quick phone chat to align expectations
  2. A face-to-face interview with your future manager
  3. A fitness and capability check (lifting and moving parts is part of the job)
  4. Final onboarding including police check (we’ll help with this)

A quick heads-up: This role includes some physical tasks like lifting parts or equipment (up to 25kg) and keeping the workspace moving. You may be asked to complete a quick fitness check during the hiring process. Random drug and alcohol testing may also apply during your time with us as part of our commitment to a safe and healthy workplace

A final note: Police checks form part of the onboarding process at PTC. If it's needed for your role, we’ll make sure the process is simple and well-supported
