Job Description

THE ROLE:
Complete repairs and calibration of Hytorc equipment. All models including hydraulic, pneumatic, manual, impact, and electric torque tools and pumps and gauges. You will work with the Service Manager and administrative staff daily to ensure the smooth processing of service jobs and quotations. Scheduling workload and basic service reporting functions. You will liaise with internal and external customers to deliver a timely and efficient service experience. Participation in weekly toolbox meetings and adhering to corporate policies and procedures.


PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Repair and calibrate customer equipment, loaner, rental, & demo equipment. Shipping andreceiving as required.
  • Upon receipt of items, tag with required information for all incoming equipment.Complete service quotes and email to customer for approval.
  • Complete services using FIFO method upon customer approval & payment received.Assist in obtaining payment method from customers when needed.
  • Submit completed service billing to service admin for processing.
  • Ensure all items /components are properly cleaned. Remove grease, grime, dirt, wipe down. Grind unsafe burrs that are sharp. All items must be presentable and in better condition then received prior to return to service or to customer.
  • Prepare items for shipment, verify all customers items match what came in initially.
  • Accurately complete weekly time sheets and submit for deadline.
  • Maintain stock levels for workshop needs & submit weekly replenishment order to admin.
  • Process & submit warranty claims upon completion.
  • Warehouse & workshop maintenance – general housekeeping and tidying of the warehouse and surrounding area including a weekly clean of workbenches
  • Complete additional tasks associated with weekly stock shipments and assisting in the warehouse where required.
  • Attend new product training when necessary to stay up to date with new technology and repair guidelines.
  • Adhere to Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to all company ISO 17025:2017 requirements. Complete all necessary testing of calibration stands when required.

SECONDARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The following items while not a primary responsibility will also form part of the broader role:
    Demonstrate excellent customer service by conducting daily activities, communications and interactions in a cooperative, positive and professional manner.
  • Responding to email/phone inquiries from sales or customer inquiries.
  • Customer walk ins.
  • Participation in weekly toolbox meetings conducted by Service Manager.
  • Involvement in monthly Safety meetings.
  • shared responsibility for maintaining a safe and compliant work environment

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a service or maintenance environment
  • Solid understanding of quoting, invoicing and basic business practice.
  • The ability to communicate effectively across various mediums from email to phone and scheduling systems
  • Great attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Excellent computer literacy including use of Word, Excel, Outlook, & general navigationAn ability to prioritize jobs and the flexibility to multitask
  • Excellent communication and customer facing skills


KEY RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to the Service Manager and has a primary function of repairing and servicing Hytorc equipment. The success of this position will depend on the ability of the Service Technician to develop strong working relationships with the following parities

International Service Manager, Service Manager, Office Manager, Operations Manager, Service Technicians
