Shift Time: Memphis - 3:00 pm - 12:00am M, T, W, Th, F
Responsible for undertaking all actions necessary to render the unit serviceable, including cleaning, testing, performance evaluation of electronic and mechanical components and sub assemblies. Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
What a typical day looks like:
Perform the set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
Perform hand set-ups for digital tests.
Recognize failures and set-up problems and determine need for appropriate verification.
Record required information on all repairs and publication discrepancies.
Operate programmable auto-testers, samplers, real-time oscilloscopes, pulse generators, meters, power supplies, and special test fixtures.
Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars, as assigned for conveying and gathering information required to perform job functions.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Education / Experience
Typically requires an Associate’s degree, military training, equivalent vocational training, or equivalent experience.
Typically requires 4 years of related experience.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Has awareness of new technologies/ techniques.
Demonstrates detailed functional knowledge and may lead process. Demonstrates advanced technical skills.
Has awareness of Flex technologies/ techniques. Demonstrates basic functional and/or process knowledge and participates in process.
Requires basic competency related to function. Demonstrates technical skills.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.
Scope / Impact
Moderate impact. May have influence on multiple programs or areas.
Decision Making / Discretion
Limited expectations to make decisions outside immediate work assignments. Decisions only affect individual.
Supervision / Leadership
Requires general instructions on routine assignments and detailed instructions on new assignments. Typically requires close supervision.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, work that requires repetitive motion, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.
