The Repair Technician 2 will perform repair and/or service workofCompany productsin accordance withprescribed procedures. The job requires using a variety of hand tools and small power tools to take apart and repair the customer tools. Each repair tech has a computer to review Tool Service Bulletins, pack out instructions for reconditioned tools and parts or tools collected for Quality Engineering.

Youwill provide the best possible end-user experiencethrough these duties and responsibilities:

  • Work safely and intentionally during all aspects ofjobincluding proper PPEand situational awareness.
  • Read andcomprehendrepair order information and parts schematics
  • Complete the information on the repair order formincluding theutilizationoftechnician notes.
  • Perform necessary repairs that might includedisassembly of units, diagnosis of operating difficulty,locationand replacement of worn or defective parts within timesin accordance withwork instructions.
  • Makedecisions surrounding the repair of the tool based on TSB’s, work instructions, andplaybooks
  • Keep records of parts used and provide data for billing and/or warranty informationandutilizetechnotes.
  • Recognize and report operational irregularities and defective materials.
  • Set up and perform electrical,mechanical, and functionaltests toensuretoolrepair and/or work performed isinaccordancewithprescribed quality standards.
  • Work from parts sheets,specifications,and drawings.
  • Under supervision make recommendations as to warranty liability and any unusual repair problems.
  • Work is subject toin-processand final inspection.
  • Responsible for quality of work,safetyand housekeeping in assigned area.
  • Be a Milwaukee Tool culture champion byhandlingtasks as assigned,including working on different processes and departments as needed.

The TOOLS you’ll bring with you: '

  • Requires an education equivalent to high school diploma or GED
  • Must have mechanical skills and diagnostic skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Basic computer and writing skills
  • 3 months or morepreviousexperience in Repair/Recondition meeting established goals for production, quality, and attendance.
  • Fluency in English withstrong communicationskills, written and oral

Internal Qualifications

  • No final warnings
  • No more than 5.75 attendance points
  • Efficiency and Quality goal met for previous 3 months
  • Must be in current role for 6+ months
  • Must meet all job description requirements.

Physical and Weightlifting Demands:

  • Standing forlong periodsof time
  • Repetitive motion
  • Frequent bending, stooping,pushingand pulling of parts and containers
  • Able to work in various temperature conditions
