MAIN ROLE AND ACTIVITIES

  1. Provides in-house and on-site advanced level technical support to analyze, troubleshoot and repair VAT products.
  2. Provide highly visible customer support through in-house and on-site customer repairs
  3. Operate and maintain operational quality of system equipment
  4. Serves as a customer contact for technical matters for the project at hand
  5. Serves as a liaison with the Product Groups about product challenges in the field providing detailed feedback for troubleshooting, service, repair, and product improvements
  6. While working in-house you will monitor and maintain the service workflows ensuring customer turn times
  7. Write concise, clear failure reports for distribution to the customer.
  8. Leverage VAT ERP system and tools to select parts necessary for repair and order from the spares depot.
  9. Complete the repair and test the product to factory specifications.
  10. Travel to customer's site for field repair or training when necessary.
  11. Provide feedback to the factory regarding VAT and Competitors products.
  12. Must be available to work overtime including weekend and week days as required
  13. Must be capable to travel internationally when factory-training if required.

KEY EXPERIENCES - What experiences bring success to this position?

  1. 5 years relevant work experience
  2. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  3. Ability to lift 50 pounds with frequent lift/ carry of 25 pounds and to stand on your feet for extended periods throughout the workday.
  4. Strong mechanical assembly, analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  5. Understanding of Basic Electronics.
  6. Ability to function independently and multi-task.
  7. Computer skills - proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Office applications.
  8. Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, as required.
