Job Summary: Responsible for outfitting all guests with rental equipment suitable for their needs and explaining safety features.

Applicants must be at least18 years of age.

Please note these positions are located at Palisades Tahoe and are not remote.

Hourly:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range: $20.00 - $25.92 per hour

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all customers and employees.
  • Greet and assist guests promptly upon entering the store.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge for retail items and rental fleet.
  • Assess guest needs through effective questioning and recommend appropriate equipment.
  • Size guests for boots and ensure proper fit.
  • Advise on ski, pole, or snowboard sizing based on guest's ability and physical attributes.
  • Maintain binding certification and adjust bindings according to manufacturers’ guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate completion of rental contracts.
  • Educate guests on the operation and safety features of rental equipment.
  • Operate the RTP POS system proficiently.
  • Inspect returned equipment for damage and proper condition.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and express gratitude upon departure.
  • Maintain shop cleanliness and organize equipment storage.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift. Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50lbs. Must capable of occasionally squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and balancing, able to climb ladders and shovel snow. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions.

Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually moderate.

Equipment Used in Job: POS system, skis, boots, bindings, ski tuning equipment, hand tools

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred:

  • 1-3 months of customer service experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools
  • Familiarity with ski/snowboard equipment and POS systems a plus.

A Motor Vehicle Record review may be required as part of your job.
