Our construction equipment group is seeking a full-time Rental Coordinator for our Hooksett, NH location. Our new team member will assist with rental tasks for New England’s premier JCB equipment dealer to identify customer needs, coordinate pick-ups, and perform inventory control for our rental department.

The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

  • Receive and qualify incoming rental inquiries, identify customer needs, prepare quotes, and partner with assigned sales team members.
  • Establish new customer accounts by collecting required credit applications, rental forms, certificates of insurance, and upfront payments.
  • Explain available rental protection options and ensure customer documentation remains accurate and current.
  • Create and maintain rental, demo, and internal contracts, including signed agreements and supporting documentation within company systems.
  • Coordinate JCB equipment availability, transfers, freight, delivery, return, and fleet tracking.
  • Partner with the service department to ensure rental equipment is maintained, inspected, and ready for customers.
  • Review equipment returns, inspection results, service work orders, damages, miscellaneous charges, and insurance claims.
  • Manage rental receivables by following company credit and COD policies, reviewing past-due accounts, processing payments, and issuing approved credits.
  • Process purchase orders, trucking and re-rental invoices, and manual sales invoices as needed.
  • Monitor fleet utilization, repair and maintenance expenses, and freight recovery through company reporting tools.
  • Participate in weekly rental meetings and contribute ideas that improve rental operations.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships, support walk-in customers and the outside sales team, and provide guidance on JCB equipment and rental solutions.
  • Incorporate Alta’s Guiding Principles into daily activities and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain consistent, regular, and reliable attendance, including being ready for work at the designated start time.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1 year of construction experience preferred
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Upbeat & positive attitude
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of construction equipment, JCB products, or similar industry
  • Good computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Language Skills - Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Reasoning Ability - Intermediate; Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Epicor/SILK systems

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Physical/Sensory Functions: Occasionally will stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; Regularly will sit, use hands, talk/hear.
  • Vision: No special vision requirements.
  • Lift and/or Move Functions: Frequently will lift up to 10 pounds
