ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Develop/maintain relationship with customers
• Answer phones
• Identify and evaluate customer needs as they relate to company’s products
• Handle all aspects of rental and sales transactions
• Maintain retail inventory for accuracy and availability
• Stock shelves in retail space.
• This position will include a Saturday morning shift.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

• Order parts for internal and external customers
• Write and receive purchase orders
• General housekeeping of retail space
• Track incoming parts orders and notify customer of arrival

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY

• AA or equivalent from college or technical school or six months to one-year related experience.
• Successful sales experience.
• Experience in inventory management.
• Experience in the heavy equipment sales, rental or retail industries.
• Knowledge of equipment operation, application, selection, maintenance and repair.
• Ability to work effectively with others, both inside and outside the company.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Basic selling skills (communication, questioning, listening, call planning, etc.).
• Ability to organize one’s time and resources.
• Basic computer knowledge, e-mail, Microsoft office, internet.
• Proficiency in business math.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

· Utilize basic office equipment such as; forms for quotes/contracts/invoicing, computer terminal, copy machines, ten key calculator and the telephone.

· Walk /stand 8 hours on concrete floors.

· Maximum 50 lbs. weight lifting requirement.

· Comply with all company safety requirements and wear all personal protective equipment when required.

· Valid drivers’ license required (driving record must meet company insurance standards; driving record is reviewed annually)
