Edison Properties is committed to providing safe, well-maintained homes for our residents and are seeking a skilled and reliable Renovation Technician to join our maintenance team who has a can-do attitude and does not need to be supervised at all times!
The Renovation Technician will be reporting directly to the Restoration Project Manager. They will be responsible to complete suite rehabilitation tasks at various residential properties of Edison Properties. These tasks will include demolition work, cleanup and disposal of old material, ordering materials and supplies for rehab suite remodeling and coordinate/installations of new products with staff, sub-contractors and suppliers.
The Renovation Technician is responsible for completing repairs, renovations, and restoration work within residential properties. This role supports property operations by ensuring units are move-in ready, addressing damage repairs, and assisting with property upgrades and improvement projects.
Perform repairs and renovations in residential suites and common areas.
Complete suite renovations and unit turnovers to prepare units for new tenants
Perform drywall repair, patching, painting, and finishing work
Install and repair flooring (vinyl plank, laminate, tile)
Complete light carpentry including doors, trim, baseboards, and cabinetry
Conduct minor plumbing and electrical repairs such as fixture replacements
Address damage repairs including minor water damage restoration
Ensure units are clean, safe, and move-in ready
Maintain tools and ensure all work follows safety standards
Respond to maintenance requests related to property damage or repair needs.
Ensure work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Coordinate with the maintenance team and property management staff on project timelines.
2–3 years of experience in renovation, restoration, or general construction.
Experience working in residential or multi-family properties is an asset.
Strong knowledge of general carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and flooring installation.
Basic plumbing and electrical repair experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong time management and organizational abilities.
Ability to lift and move materials (up to 50 lbs).
Commitment to safety and quality work.
Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
