About the Role

The Renewal Specialist manages software maintenance and subscription renewals, ensuring customers renew their contracts on time.

This role works closely with customers and internal teams to provide a smooth renewal process, maintain strong customer relationships, and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through additional products and services.

The key responsibilities include:

• Own and drive the software renewal business, ensuring timely and successful renewals of subscriptions, maintenance, and annual recurring revenue contracts.
• Develop and execute renewal strategies to maximize renewal rate, retention, and recurring revenue.
• Forecast renewal pipelines accurately and track performance against targets.
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex or high-value renewal accounts.
• Proactively engage customers ahead of renewal cycles to understand usage, satisfaction, and risk indicators.
• Work closely with customers to align renewals with business value, adoption, and long-term success.

About You - Applicants must be local Malaysian to be considered for this role.

You have experience in software renewals, subscription sales, or account management, with a strong customer-focused and commercial mindset. You are confident managing renewal discussions, building lasting customer relationships, and identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts. We would love to hear from you.

You will be successful if you have:

• Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Software Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 to 8+ years of experience in software renewals, subscription sales, customer success, inside sales, or account management.
• Possesses excellent written and oral in English and Malay skill.
• Proven experience managing recurring revenue models (subscription, maintenance, SaaS, licensing).
• Experience leading renewal negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract renewals with mid- to large-scale customers.
• Ability to identify and influence upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities during renewal cycles.
