We’re transforming the way our customers shop, and we’re looking for a Renewal Project Lead based in Western Australia to help us deliver exceptional store environments for our customers and team members across all of our Kmart and Target locations.

As part of our team, you’ll play a key role in coordinating store renewal projects end-to-end — from planning through to execution — ensuring each store meets our Kmart Group standards of quality, safety and customer experience.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the planning, coordination and delivery of store renewal projects
  • Partnering with key stakeholders across Stores, Merchandising, Replenishment and external contractors to ensure smooth execution
  • Managing timelines, resources and budgets to deliver projects on time and to standard
  • Overseeing layouts and merchandising requirements to support operational efficiency and a great customer experience
  • Supporting continuous improvement across renewal processes to drive value and consistency

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

You’ll bring strong retail experience and a practical understanding of store layouts and refits. You’ll be organised, adaptable, and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


You’ll also have:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a Department Manager, Line Manager or Assistant Store Manager position across a major retail brand OR experience in within merchandising or layouts.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Stakeholder management and conflict resolution is a high priority for this role.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to lead, influence and coordinate teams to achieve great outcomes.
  • Flexibility to travel locally and interstate, and ability to work nights when required during projects. Generally speaking projects run from 3-5 weeks and would be working hours between 10pm-8am. Outside of projects your would have normal working hours and access to 2 days work from home flexibility.
