About the Role

Responsible to perform re-pricing for existing clients, product benefit redesigning and in-depth analysis for both Conventional Group Insurance and Takaful.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform renewal pricing for existing client that includes product and feature design
  • Help to execute the automated pricing model ensuring that it is accurate, up-to-date and complies with the agreed rules, policies, guidelines and within service level agreement
  • Help ensure accuracy of cost and utilization report that provides in-depth trend analysis, benchmark and insight to clients, and assist on-going maintenance
  • Ensure profitable growth through proactive renewal pricing
  • Actively ensure that own performance is contributing to meeting team’s proposal underwriting TAT and accuracy targets
  • Actively enhancing own technical knowledge and skills, which vary from system knowledge, pricing skill, analysis skill, way to handle complicated cases, etc.
  • Constantly look out for opportunities to improve pricing capability and SOP, i.e. pricing methodology review, pricing and underwriting skill, computing skill, business acumen, data analysis, system knowledge, etc.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree of Actuarial Science, insurance industry working experience is advantageous ·
  • Proficiency in statistics, computing and analytical methodology, e.g. Access, MS Office, any programming language optional but advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous with detail, strong analytical qualities and very methodical in solving problems – able to translate insight into decision
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness – able to see things from customer’s perspective
  • Constantly strive to improve and strengthen existing way of working for higher efficiency
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess strong commitment to team environment dynamics with the ability to contribute expertise and meet performance goals
  • Able to prioritize, operate proactively and coordinate several tasks simultaneously
