We’re looking for an experienced Remuneration & Rewards professional to play a pivotal role in designing and delivering reward strategies that attract, retain and motivate our people, while standing up to scrutiny and governance expectations.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Remuneration & Rewards Analyst to join our People & Culture team and support the delivery of fair, competitive and well‑governed reward practices.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their reward or HR analytics career who is keen to build capability, develop technical skills and gain exposure to remuneration frameworks, benchmarking and annual review processes.

You’ll work closely with senior remuneration specialists, People & Culture colleagues and key stakeholders, contributing analysis and insights that help support employee experience and organisational performance.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Support the development and maintenance of remuneration and reward frameworks
  • Assist with job architecture activities, role evaluation and remuneration benchmarking
  • Provide analytical support for annual remuneration processes, including salary reviews and incentives
  • Prepare reports, data packs and insights to inform reward decisions
  • Help ensure remuneration practices align with governance, policy and compliance requirements
  • Analyse remuneration data, trends and market information to support recommendations
  • Respond to reward‑related queries from stakeholders with guidance and escalation where needed
  • Contribute to broader People & Culture initiatives where reward links to performance and capability

This is initially a 12-month contract.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in remuneration and rewards within a complex or regulated environment
  • Strong technical capability across job evaluation, benchmarking and remuneration frameworks
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, credible and practical advice
  • A confident communicator who can influence and build trust with senior stakeholders
  • High levels of integrity, discretion and sound judgement
  • A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in creating fair and sustainable reward outcomes

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. Together, we are committed to improving the health outcomes for children today and in the future.

In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
