Job Description

Newstaff Employment Services is currently recruiting for a Removal Porter to join our team in Luton 6am start, however could finish at different times each day. The Removal Porter will play a vital role in assisting with the loading and unloading of furniture and goods during removals and deliveries. This hands-on position requires a physically fit, reliable, and proactive individual who can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the loading and unloading of furniture, boxes, and other goods during removals.
  • Handle items carefully to prevent damage and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Support the moving team in packing and unpacking possessions as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the removal vehicle and equipment.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure safe working practices.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate removal activities.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in removals, warehousing, or a similar manual handling role is preferred but not essential.
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy items safely and repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Strong work ethic with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including early mornings and weekends as required.
  • Valid UK driving license would be an advantage but is not mandatory.
