of Position:

Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure & Security, the Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of our networks, servers, and applications in order to ensure our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently as well as providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 level support on all IT infrastructure and platforms.

Additionally, you will be responsible for proactive security and desktop support.

General Responsibilities
● Document and organize systems, machines, inventory, IPs, and processes.
● Manage a variety of servers and applications
● Provide Tier 2 & Tier 3 support as required
● Manage network requests, including DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), DNS (Domain Name System), and VLANs (Virtual Local Area Networks).
● Support the creation of monitoring procedures and keep the monitoring tools up to date.
● Support the team's role by participating in meetings to decide on infrastructure changes.
● Collaborate with various infrastructure teams for effective decision-making and support of the company's infrastructure.
● Administer and monitor existing production systems and networks to ensure stability and reliability, addressing any issues that arise and keeping the platform stable.
● Make approved configuration changes to environments.
● Ensure safety and stability of environments through software patching and maintenance.
● Be on call 24/7 for emergency duties when necessary.
● Other duties as assigned.


Required skills and qualifications

● Hands-on experience working in production environments for administration and monitoring.
● Linux, Windows, and VMWare from a system administrator perspective.
● Networking and storage knowledge is also required.
● Automation and Configuration Management Skill highly desirable (Terraform, Ansible, etc)
● Azure and AWS Cloud platform experience is required.
● Have an understanding of ITSM workflows and automation.
● Experience with server administration for local and cloud environments
● Ability and desire to learn new environments, technologies and procedures.
● Experience with scripting languages, such as Powershell on Windows and shell script for Linux
● Excellent organizational skills and ability to master documentation
● Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
o Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
● Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
o Strong analytical skills to assess data and drive decisions.
o Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
● Call Center experience considered beneficial
● Analytical mindset and inquisitive nature
● Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changing work conditions in a fast-paced environment
● Self-motivated with excellent time management
● Strong understanding of networks (WAN, LAN, VPN), and telephony systems. Demonstrated knowledge and skills with PC Operating Systems, computer hardware repair, and device connectivity (TCP/IP, network adapter configuration)
● Proficient in MS Office and/or Google Workspace

Education and experience

● Bachelor’s degree , computer science, or a related field or an IT diploma from a recognized community college
● Three years of related experience
