Our Client is a U.S.-based strategic design and advisory firm working with investment firms, professional services companies, and operating businesses. They help clients raise capital, win clients, and build institutional credibility through high-quality branding, design, and strategic communication. As Our Client scales their digital capabilities, they are adding a Software Engineer to own the internal technology that powers their operations, delivery, and growth.
Our Client is seeking a skilled, AI-native Software Engineer to join the team full-time. This role focuses primarily on building and scaling internal technology—the tools, systems, and workflows that make the firm run. The engineer will work directly with the founder to identify operational bottlenecks, design solutions, and ship production-grade software that improves how the firm works, bills, delivers, and serves clients.
The ideal candidate is fluent in modern development workflows, comfortable using AI tools to move fast without sacrificing quality, and experienced in shipping production-grade work using Next.js on Vercel.
Owns the design, development, and maintenance of the firm's internal technology stack.
Builds internal tools to improve project management, time and billing tracking, client communication, and general operations.
Identifies inefficiencies in existing workflows and engineers solutions that create leverage across the firm.
Serves as the technical owner of internal systems, helping define the product roadmap rather than just executing tickets.
Builds and maintains web applications using Next.js and Vercel
Owns features end-to-end, from initial scoping and architecture through to deployment and iteration.
Writes clean, performant, production-ready code with a high bar for quality and detail.
Collaborates closely with the founder to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Leverages AI coding tools including Claude Code, Cursor, and similar as a core part of the daily workflow.
Builds AI-powered features, automations, and integrations into internal systems and client-facing tools.
Stays current with the evolving AI development ecosystem and proactively recommends new approaches to accelerate output while maintaining code quality.
Builds and maintains integrations with third-party APIs, CRMs, billing systems, and data sources.
Manages deployment pipelines, environment configurations, and Vercel project settings.
Ensures applications are reliable, scalable, and well-documented.
Experience: 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Next.js, React, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
Deployment: Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications on Vercel
AI Tooling: Proven, day-to-day use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent) Must Have
Communication: Strong written and verbal English skills; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Location: Based in Latin America with full-time availability during U.S. business hours.
Experience building internal tooling for agencies, advisory firms, or professional services businesses.
Familiarity with billing systems, project management tooling, or client workflow automation.
Experience with AI APIs, LLM integrations, or agentic workflows (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, LangChain).
Familiarity with design systems and Figma handoff processes.
