Job Title: Remote Senior Accountant (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary $72,000 USD OTE ($5,000/month base + $12,000 target annual bonus)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST (with flexibility)

Our Client

Our Client is a modern fractional CFO and accounting firm dedicated to US-based digital and creative agencies in the $1M to $10M revenue range. They manage the complete financial operations for their customers, allowing agency owners to focus on growth while the firm handles the steady, behind-the-scenes finance function. Our Client is founder-led, high-growth, and aggressively building internal AI tooling to automate rote tasks, ensuring their accountants spend their time on high-level judgment work rather than data entry.

Our Client is seeking a Senior Accountant who wants to be more than a "button-pusher" in a rigid workflow. This role is about full ownership; the successful candidate will manage their own client portfolio, partner directly with fractional CFOs, and sign their name to the deliverables they ship. This is a position for a "judgment-first" accountant who is fluent in US GAAP and eager to use AI leverage (such as Claude Pro) to build the firm of the decade.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Ownership & Financial Reporting

  • Manages 6–8 client books each month, owning the month-end close from start to finish on an accrual basis.

  • Executes reconciliations, accruals, deferrals, and revenue recognition (ASC 606-adjacent thinking).

  • Ships high-quality financial statements directly to agency owners and fractional CFOs.

Workflow Innovation & AI Integration

  • Designs and runs "agentic" workflows for AP and reconciliations, using AI to handle the first pass of repeatable work.

  • Collaborates with the firm's leadership to shape internal AI tools by identifying time-intensive bottlenecks.

  • Utilizes a firm-provided Claude Pro subscription to maximize professional leverage.

Client Communication

  • Serves as the primary day-to-day point of contact for agency owners.

  • Answers financial questions in plain English and proactively identifies issues the client may have missed.

  • Builds deep rapport with stakeholders to reflect the firm’s core values and high standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–5 years of professional accounting experience working with US firms or US-based clients.

  • Firm Background: Proven track record in a multi-client environment, successfully juggling 5+ sets of books simultaneously.

  • Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO); Advanced ProAdvisor certification is highly preferred.

  • Accounting Depth: Fluent in accrual accounting, deferred revenue, and complex reconciliations without needing a provided checklist.

  • The "App Stack": Familiarity with modern financial tools such as Ramp, Bill.com, Gusto, Expensify, Dext, or Divvy

  • Language: Professional written and spoken English; able to run client calls and explain variances clearly.

Benefits
  • Base Salary: $60,000 USD per year ($5,000/month).

  • Target Bonus: $12,000 USD (20% variable, paid quarterly against clear goals).

  • Signing Bonus: $3,500 total ($1,750 with first check, $875 at 6 months, $875 at 1 year).

  • Travel Benefit: $2,000 annual firm-paid trip benefit to encourage a real break.

  • Paid Time Off: 25 total paid days off (15 PTO days + 10 paid holidays).

  • AI Tools: Firm-paid Claude Pro subscription.
