Additional information:
• This role is permanent, full-time.
• The internal job title for this role is Remote Team Leader.
• This role is hybrid, with time split between working from home (WFH) and IKEA's External Warehouse based in Māngere.
• This role requires a private, quiet workspace and a reliable internet connection for WFH purposes.
• Your team will work in a hybrid model, and you'll support them across both settings.
• As we operate 7 days a week, you'll need to be available for a rotating roster, including day, evening, and alternating weekend shifts.

About this work area

As a Remote Sales Team Leader, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of a remote sales team, ensuring outstanding customer experiences while achieving sales, conversion, and targets across multiple customer contact channels.
• Coach and develop co-workers through regular performance conversations, feedback, and development planning to build capability and drive results.
• Monitor sales performance metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement action plans to achieve business objectives.
• Drive a customer-first sales culture that focuses on understanding customer needs and providing relevant product and service solutions.
• Support promotional campaigns, product launches, and commercial initiatives to maximise sales opportunities and business growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify customer trends, share insights, and improve the overall customer journey.
• Ensure your team maintains strong product knowledge and confidently promotes IKEA's range, services, and solutions.
• Foster a positive, engaged, and high-performing team culture aligned to IKEA values.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process enhancements that improve efficiency, productivity, and customer outcomes.



You're an experienced sales leader who knows how to inspire, coach, and develop teams to achieve ambitious targets while putting customers first. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are commercially minded, and enjoy using data and insights to drive performance improvements.

In your toolkit, you bring:

• Minimum 5 years' experience leading high-performing sales, contact centre, customer service sales, or retail teams, with demonstrated success in achieving sales and commercial targets.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coach teams to consistently deliver strong sales results and customer satisfaction outcomes.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse performance data, identify opportunities, and translate insights into action.
• Experience managing KPIs including sales conversion, productivity, and customer experience metrics.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business functions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
• Experience working with customer engagement platforms and sales performance reporting tools.
• A commitment to creating an inclusive, engaging workplace where everyone feels valued and able to contribute.
