Job Title: Remote Purchasing Specialist (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America Position Type: Full-time Salary $2,000 – $2,500 USD/month Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST) (Includes 1-hour lunch)

The Role

Our Client is seeking a detail-driven, analytical, and relationship-oriented Purchasing Specialist to manage purchasing operations for top-tier vendors and high-volume SKUs. This is a pivotal role responsible for maintaining in-stock rates, improving margins, and forecasting demand. The successful candidate will work at the center of the operation, collaborating with Marketplace, Accounting, and Operations teams to ensure smooth purchasing cycles and data-driven decision-making. This role is designed for a professional who enjoys spotting patterns, negotiating win-win vendor outcomes, and keeping a fast-moving e-commerce machine running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Inventory Management

• Manages weekly vendor orders based on historical sales data and forecasted needs to maintain high in-stock rates for priority SKUs.

• Combines profitability data with velocity forecasts to prioritize high-margin products and optimize spend.

• Updates forecasting tools for out-of-stock items and proactively plans replenishment cycles.

• Audits purchase orders for 100% accuracy and assists in coordinating returns and credits with vendors.

Vendor Relations & Negotiation

• Builds and strengthens relationships with new and existing vendors to secure competitive pricing, promotions, and access to new products.

• Identifies opportunities to improve vendor performance and reduce costs through strategic negotiation.

• Ensures timely processing of orders and quick resolution of any vendor-related issues.

Data Analysis & Process Improvement

• Monitors test purchases and updates forecasting tools with accurate projections.

• Analyzes market trends, sales velocity, and data to inform restock planning and operational efficiency.

• Identifies opportunities for automation and process improvements using AI and advanced digital tools.

• Partners across departments to optimize workflows and scale the business smarter and faster.

Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies
Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (experience in a resale/e-commerce environment is strongly preferred).

• Technical Mastery: Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, including complex formulas, nested logic, and troubleshooting.

• Modern Tools: Ability to use AI to augment job operations; experience with Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Seller Center, or NetSuite is a significant plus.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills; proactive in cross-departmental collaboration.

• Analytical Skills: Strong mental math skills and a detail-oriented mindset focused on driving results.

• Attributes: A self-starter who thrives on optimization and managing shifting priorities across multiple vendors.
