Our Client prides itself on speed, clear communication, and operational excellence, all supported by advanced technology and a results-driven team culture.

The Role

Our Client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Property Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of residential properties. This critical role ensures smooth day-to-day operations, fosters strong landlord-tenant relationships, and maintains strict compliance with California laws. The successful candidate will coordinate leasing, maintenance, and rent collection while serving as the primary bridge between property owners and the internal operations team. This is a high-responsibility position requiring a professional who can handle multiple priorities with urgency and professionalism.

  • Delivers weekly updates to owners regarding leasing activity, property performance, and market trends.

Tenant Relations & Leasing

  • Communicates directly with tenants regarding rent, lease terms, and general inquiries.
  • Oversees the leasing process in coordination with the leasing team, including participating in pricing strategy and monitoring listing performance.
  • Manages lease renewals, rent increases, and tenant transitions while handling escalated issues with a solution-oriented approach.

Maintenance & Operations

  • Coordinates and oversees maintenance requests, ensuring timely resolution and cost efficiency for the owner.
  • Works closely with the maintenance team and vendors to troubleshoot repairs and approve work orders and invoices.
  • Monitors rent collections, follows up on delinquencies, and assists with the issuance of legal notices when necessary.
  • Maintains meticulous records in AppFolio, ensuring all interactions and documents are properly archived.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in residential property management is required (U.S. experience is strongly preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with property management software (AppFolio proficiency is a significant advantage) and general tech-savviness with CRM systems.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills; comfortable handling difficult conversations with tenants or owners.
  • Legal Knowledge: A strong understanding of residential operations; knowledge of California landlord-tenant laws is considered a major plus.
  • Organization: Highly detail-oriented with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team.

Key Competencies

  • Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking skills to resolve maintenance and tenant disputes efficiently.
  • Accountability: Ability to manage a consistent workload and meet KPIs tied to portfolio performance.
  • Responsiveness: Commitment to the weekend on-call requirement for emergency situations.

Benefits

  • Growth: Opportunity for salary increases as the portfolio expands and long-term career growth within a scaling company.
  • Bonuses: Performance-based bonuses tied to specific portfolio KPIs.
